The Peak District spa town of Buxton will be hosting its annual Four Four Two festival of live music at the Buxton Opera House from 17-26 February.

The fearless guitar improviser Derek Bailey died on Christmas Day 2006 aged 75. In a tribute to him, BBC Radio 3's Jazz on 3 presents a special show on 20 January at 11.30pm with Jez Nelson talking to musicians who knew and performed with Bailey, including Pat Metheny, as well as airing archive recordings of Bailey's music.
